Biodiesel is a diesel fuel replacement made from renewable resources such as soybeans. In June 2005, The SPINX Company became one of the first retailers in the country to offer biodiesel when they announced their partnership with Willie Nelson Biodiesel Fuel to bring biodiesel to the Upstate. Currently, SPINX is dispensing biodiesel fuel at 41 locations, 11 of which are truck accessible.

The SPINX Company has set a mission to be one of the leading environmental fuel providers in the Southeast. In early 2005, SPINX was the first in Upstate South Carolina to offer E85, an alternative fuel used in Flex Fuel vehicles.  The push to bring these products to the Carolina market was mainly due to the anticipated changes that the company saw in the wholesale hydrocarbon fuel market.
